Academic Program

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School's academic program fosters the spiritual and intellectual growth of our students, ensuring that Arizona State Standards are met as well as exceeded with additional diocesan performance objectives.  The focus is to inspire a life-long love of learning in our students.  Our team of educators utilize many teaching methods to provide engaging and challenging learning environments.  Our curriculum meets or exceeds state standards in these subject area: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Technology, STEM, Music, Art, and Physical Education.  Religion is taught by our teachers, who are all certified catechists.  Our students demonstrate strong work habits, use various skills and strategies to solve problems and reach goals, and communicate effectively through writing, speaking, and listening.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School is comprised of a community of teachers,  teacher aides, specialists, and administrators who are devoted to the well being of our students. Our qualified staff of certified teachers have taught for nearly four hundred years combined!  We are proud of the longevity of our faculty.  Our teachers actively participate in ongoing professional development in order to provide the best educational experience for our students.

Technology

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School utilizes Interactive Epson Projectors, Google Chromebooks and iPads as teaching tools in every classroom.  These enable students to be as fluent and comfortable with technology as they are with textbooks, pencils, and paper. Students learn how to utilize technology to express ideas, solve problems, and collaborate with others.

Our state-of-the-art Stem Lab provides problem-based learning for our students.  Students have opportunities to be problem solvers, risk takers, critical thinkers and innovators by taking positions on real world problems.  By working through a combination of learning strategies they discover the nature of a problem, understand the variables involved, and gain a perspective viewpoint on various topics.
