Preschool

Preschool

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Preschool provides quality instruction and supervision for children in a safe and nurturing environment. In following the mission of both Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School and Parish we provide a place for children to play, to learn, and to grow.

OLPH Catholic Preschool is a newly remodeled school within a school for 3-year old and Pre-Kindergarten students. There is a specially designed outdoor play space and newly remodeled classrooms in a separate area from the main K-8 school area.  OLPH Preschool follows the same August -May, 10 month calendar as the rest of the school.

OLPH Preschool is a licensed childcare facility.

Preschool 3-Year-Old Program

Our 3-year-old program provides the transition from home to school.  OLPH Preschool provides learning experiences and play activities that encourage spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth in a spirit of gospel values.  The curriculum is defined by the Diocesan Schools Office Early Childhood Curriculum Standards and AZ Early Learning Standards/Concepts. Classrooms are designed to promote learning through personal intere st and exploration, providing opportunities for continuing age and developmentally appropriate instruction.  Our curriculum is designed to engage all children in each activity with the goal of developing a life-long love of learning.  We offer several options for the 3-year-old program. Parents may choose between 2, 3 or 5 days a week from 8:00am-Noon or 8:00am- 3:00 PM.

Pre-Kindergarten 4-Year-Old Program

Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten provide a wonderful transition year before Kindergarten for four year old children who are ready for more learning opportunities. During their Pre-K or TK year, students will experience social, emotional and intellectual growth under the guidance of an experienced teacher, in addition to the support of a teacher aide.  The full day program includes: Music, Art, Reading, Handwriting, Religion, creative play, snack and lunch time, outdoor play and rest time. The program is designed to develop readiness skills needed for Kindergarten.
